Coffee Addons
Coffee gained popularity all over the world because it can be mixed with almost everything to make a delicious unique blend. Below are some of the product we mix with coffee to black and pure, with sugar and milk, or with flavoured syrup and whipped cream. Below are list of products we mixes with coffee:
Milk
Milk neutralizes the bitterness of coffee and provides creamy texture to the drink. Coffee lovers worldwide can choose which type of milk they want to mixed with their coffee to get their desired taste and texture. Below are the different types of milk used to make gourmet coffee.
-
Full-cream milk
The most popular: it is the exact milk that comes from the cow, except that it is pasteurised and usually homogenised ( see milk notes below ). It’s about 4% fat. May also be called ‘whole’ milk. E.g. Nestle
-
Low-fat milk
Is processed to have only less than 1% fat.
-
Skim milk
The lowest-fat milk, containing no more than 0.15% fat.
-
Non-fat milk
This has the milk fat removed from it (most fat in milk is saturated), and replaced with monounsaturated fat. Hence, this milk has the creamy texture but not the saturated fat.

-
Homogenised: It means that the cream or milk fat that would otherwise rise to form a creamy layer on top of the milk remains distributed evenly throughout it. It is done by passing the milk under pressure through tiny holes, which makes the fat globules the same small size, giving the milk a smoother, creamy texture.
Sugar
Whether it is white or brown, sugar adds sweetness to the coffee. The most obvious difference between types of sugars used in coffee is colour. When sugar has been extracted from the juice of the beet or cane plant, a strong tasting black syrup (known as molasses) remains. When white sugar is made, the molasses are entirely removed, whereas brown sugars retain varying amounts of this natural syrup. The more molasses in brown sugar, the stickier the crystals, the darker the colour and the stronger the flavour. However, the presence of molasses does not change sugar's nutritional value.

Artificial Sweetener
Like sugar, artificial sweetener also adds sweetness to the coffee; but with lesser calories. This coffee add-on is perfect for calorie conscious coffee lovers.
